This is a superb example of the Wedgwood Commemorative Mug produced in 1969 for Prince Charles\' Investiture as The Prince of Wales.  Designed by Richard Guyatt, the background colour is off-white, with black and gold decoration depicting the prince\'s heraldic badge, the Welsh dragon and four small crowns.  Also in gold is the legend Caernarfon 1969 at the base of the mug, and in gold around the top of the mug is the legend Duw Gadwo\'rtywysog.  Around the inside of the rim, also in gold, is the legend God Bless The Prince of Wales.  The outside of the handle has a black line bordered by two gold lines.


The backstamp consists of the impressed mark of Wedgwood over the words Made in England, and also the Wedgwood mark stating Wedgwood of Etruria & Barlaston Made in England, beneath which are the words

The mug is one pint capacity, stands approximately 4.25 inches high (to the very top of the handle), and is approximately 4.25 inches in diameter.


This mug is in excellent condition, there are no cracks, chips or crazing faults.  Only a few tiny dark marks on base as shown in pics.
