This is a beautiful dealer\'s piece from 1956-1959. It is from my aunt\'s gift shop The White Poodle that she owned and ran as a single woman during that time period in New York City.
The figure is the Merry Wanderer, a little man with his suitcase, bowler hat and umbrella. The figure and the entire piece is in excellent condition. No chips off the bee\'s wings, the tip of the umbrella is still there, the trademarks are clean and easy to read. They are a bee in a V, (R) with the item number 187 stamped in the porcelain, there is also a faint \"68\" in the corner to the right of the \"187\" with a glazed \"7\" underneath. Germany stamped on the Wanderer base. There seems to be many variations on the trademarks and I am not sure the exact date of the piece but her shop was open from 1956 to 1959. It has that great aged look of the older dealer pieces, giving it depth and character.
The piece measures 5.5\" wide, 3.75\" tall, 2\" deep. Please consider the pictures part of the description.
