Featured in this lot is theHummel Candleholder \"Silent Night\", number 54, trademark #2 (Full Bee). This figurine is 3 3/4\" tall to the tip of the angel\'s wings and contains a base that measures 5\" long and 3\"deep at location of the candle.

The model was originally designed in 1936 and is very similar to model number 31, \"Advent Group\".The main difference between them, in trademarks #1 and #2 only, is that \"Advent Group\" was produced with a black child on the left (a few were produced with a white child) and \"Silent Night\" was produced primarily with all white children (a few were produced with either one or two black children). In both instances, the non-standard varieties of figurines are very valuable. This piece is absolutely pristine, with no chips, cracks,crazing, or repairs.The model number andtrademark areincised on the underside of the base, and the MI Hummel signature is incised on the backof the base.

The model waswithdrawn from production in 1999so there is no current model in the retail marketplace.A recent issue of Von Recklinghausen Price Guide lists the item,having this trademark,with aretail valuationrange of $330-$420, depending on condition.
