Listed is a gorgeous genuine Faberge Imperial Carriage Clockmounted with a sterling gilt face (or dial) set with ten faceted rubies.
The clock wasdesigned by Igor Carl Faberge and represents one of the last pieces to beproduced at Faberge\'s Geneva atelier before the family sold the firm in themid-1980s. The design of the clock\'s case is styled after the sweeping rococolines of the grand staircase in the famed Hermitage Museum (formerly the WinterPalace) in St. Petersburg, Russia. The same motif is carried through in thedesign of the minted gold-on-sterling face. Ten faceted rubies highlight thedesign and distinguish the quarter hours on the dial.
The clock\'s11-jewel movement consists of solid brass plates finished in 24K yellow gold.The movement is visible through glass panels on either side of the case, and arectangular window beneath the ornately sculptured handle reveals the balanced\"heart\" of the mechanism.
The clock is guaranteed100% authentic Faberge.
The clock stands approximately 5.5\" H (inclusive ofhandle) x 3\"W x 2.5\"D. The piece is numbered 0075 as stated on itsCOA dated 12/4/1980. The same registration number (75) is engraved on the backof the clock along with the name Igor Carl Faberge. It will also come with thepaperwork shownas related documentation. This item comes with its original windingkey. The original retail price in 1980 was $2900.
