My coasters are completely handcrafted. I begin by personally selecting each master tile. I cut each set from a single slate tile to retain consistency in color and texture. The tiles are sanded to remove sharp edges, and a protective finish is applied to the surface to enhance the rich color of the natural slate stone.Each design is carved into the stone by hand. These sets are NOT mass manufactured, sandblasted or CNC auto-carved.Slate Coasters are unique. The carved surface of the slate naturally absorbs moisture, and the weight of the stone prevents the coaster from adhering to the bottom of a glass.A unique rubberized foam is applied to the bottom of each coaster.
