Description

You are offerding on an old magnificent antique Russian hunting knife dagger dirk with gold etched blade made by Toledo. Has a leather scabbard with two pieces that are gold plated and engraved. Has a floral pattern on them. The top of the handle has a dog and the two sides of the sword also have dog heads. It has a screw through the dogs head on top of the handle. The end of the scabbard has etched engraved gold plated. Came from Polish Ukrainian estate. The blade opens out nicely. The blade is in high quality and engraved steel with ornaments on both side. The tip is sharp. There are animals etched in the blade on both sides. On one side there is Toledo etched in the steel. Has old original patina, uncleaned. Has a curved end and there is a minor knick at the end of the blade. The fitting is gold plated but you can see there is a silver underneath. We did not test it. Has a knob for wearing on the belt. Toledo blades have been very popular used by Imperial of blade: 7 3/4 inches or 195 mm
