Up for your consideration 100% ORIGINAL Russian porcelaindinner plate from the Alexandrinsky Turquoise Service, Imperial PorcelainFactory, Saint Petersburg, 1899. The turquoise blue ground border relieved withcartouches painted with brightly colored birds, each plate having a uniquegrouping, the ground with gilt laurel garlands. The reverse with the greencypher mark of Nicholas II dated 1899. Diameter 9 7/8” in.

Perfect condition: no restoration, no cracks or losses. Lookat the pictures as they are part of the description.

The Alexandrinsky (or Alexandrinskii) Turquoise Service wascommissioned by Empress Alexandra Feodorovna in 1899 for use in the WinterPalace. The service, which came to be called in honor of the Empress, comprisedalmost 1,300 pieces and was based on a original service by Sèvres in the palacestores.
