Beautiful, rare, important, antique 1805 copperplate Arrowsmith & Lewis map, titled Kentucky , the period detail on the map is amazing, Arrowsmith was well known for the detail and beauty of his maps. Many fascianting areas, much is unknown and unsettled, large Country of the Creek Indians area, and many other interesting areas. Printed below the title is Drawn by S. Lewis, and D. Fairman, Sc. Important and very rare early period map of this state. Many fascianting and detailed areas, much has changed. The map is printed thick fine period handmade paper, with no printing on reverse. The map is in excellent condition and would frame and display quite nicely. The map is from the very rare and important American atlas, A New and Elegant Atlas Comprising All the Important Discoveries to the Present Time, by Aaron Arrowsmith and Samuel Lewis, published in 1805, in Boston Massachusetts.
