AN IMPRESSIVE AND ATTRACTIVE PAIR OF 19C JAPANESE SATSUMA MORIAGE VASESAs can be seen from the photos which form part of the description, the vases have beautiful and very colourful raised enamel decoration. The vases date from the mid - late 19 CenturyThey stand 30 cm tall and about 13cm wide (max)Both vases are in excellent condition for their age with no cracks or major chips. There are, on close inspection, a few very old minor knocks to the decoration ( as noted, these are noticeable only on close inspection) There appears to be a firing mark inside the rim of one vase ( see photos)
