Listed this week is anincredible Estate collection Silver and Estate Treasures.There isamazing examples of Sterling and Continental Solid Silver from all over the world including Georgian Pieces, a very Rare Tiffany Coffee Pot and a fabulous Sheffield Plate Tea Urn. On Night 2 there is incredible Estate Treasures including Museum quality Glass, Porcelain and Clocks plus a large collection of Stemware including Waterford and so much more. Up for sale with is a truly incredible Very Large c1830 Charles X Period French Empire Bronze Figural Clock. The Clock is one of two similar examples from an important Estate collection. The Clock is so much more amazing and impressive in real life featuring a large standing man who I believe it is a Poet or Playwright holding a quill Pen and a book. The man is incredibly finely detailed with flowing robes, a skull cap type hat and a large Cross which is actually formed free from the man which I think is an important detail. Beside the man is a large Clock and a top clock is a Globe, an Inkwell, a series of books and a scroll. There is also an amazingly detailed wide vignette below depicting a man collapsing and being attended too, I am sure the man and the scene are from history or possibly a play but I am no expert. The Clock portion is also quite exceptional and the entire unit features both Matte and Highly Polished Gold Gilding to the solid Bronze. As seen the Pendulum is included with the Clock but it has not been tested and all Clocks are sold AS IS, in need of servicing to be in good running order. The Clock case is in very fine all original condition, one foot is a little loose but I believe just needs a bolt tightened and as seen the Globe needs to be re-attached as it has broken off in moving from the estate. The Clock is very large and very impressive measuringapprox 21 inches tall by13-3/4 inches long or5 inches wide. We also have other superb Clocks listed and I urge you to check our other sales but this Clock is too large to be combined with any other item for shipping. I have seen similar clocks with asking prices from 5000-10,000 dollars and moreso Idoubt many early 19th Century French Empire Clocks of this quality and large size come up for sale on , let alone selling with absolutely as all our sales have run for over 12 years !
