An antique sketched drawing of a girl wearingtraditional Italian costume, inpencilwith white highlights,Italian School, dating to the mid 19th Century. Drawn on laid paper, she ispictured in a kneeling position, her hands gently clasped in her lap, her eyes cast down to the ground.

There is no signature, but the expertise of the artist is immediately apparent. The painting is cleanly mounted and framed within a later gilt wood framewhich suits the painting very well.
