Image Retailer Appreciation Gold Foil Embossed Variant Set – Youngblood #1, Rose #1, Crosswind #1This is a lot of three variant covers for Youngblood #1, Rose #1, and Crosswind #1 from Image Comics. These gold foil embossed covers were part of the Retailer Appreciation Program, and were available to retailers in a quantity of 1 per store (with some restrictions).Each of these comics is new, unread, and is in Very Fine/Near Mint (9.0) condition.
The Youngblood #1 and Rose #1 covers are slightly frayed in the upper-left corner resulting in a color break of approximately 1/32 of an inch. Because these covers feature embossed foil, the paper stock is a thicker gauge than is typically used for comics. This thicker gauge makes the covers more rigid, and therefore more prone to creases along the spine and fraying at the corners. Fortunately, all the covers are clear of color breaks and the corners are sharp; other than the noted imperfections.
