Immaculate Condition 1947 Cast Iron Singer Model 201-2 with Original Accessories

Manufactured in 1947 with serial number is AH182518, this machine was much beloved and used often until recently. The machine runs and stitches flawlessly and has always been regularly maintained and serviced. It comes with everything shown in the first picture with new power and electrical cords. Sewing samples from latest service are included as well as the last service receipt.
This is a 1947 heavy cast iron body with direct drive motor sewing machine before Singer switched the using alloys in the 1950\'s. This was and perhaps still regarded by some as Singers\' best sewing machine. Used by homemakers and professionals alike, the heavy cast iron body allows this machine to sew heavy fabrics such as upholstery, light to mid weight leather materials and thick fabrics such as terry cloth. It still sews beautifully and lives up to it\'s reputation being one of Singer\'s best machines for producing flawless stitches from 6 to 30 stitches per inch.
The condition of this machine is one of the cleanest 201 Singer machines you will find for sale on . Please enlarge all the photos to inspect the pristine condition of this machine. The paint is original with only light pin scratches on the base (see photos 8-11) and the only flaws are four pin head size pits in the paint as shown in photo 12. The decals are almost in original conditional with some hairline cracks due to aging in the Greek decorative borders around the base, (see photos 8-11). The only minor flaw in the decals is the missing top left line segment of the \"H\' in the first word \"THE\" of the top decal. Photo 5 must be enlarged and scrutinized to see this detail.
This model is operated by a foot pedal which is also in pristine condition.
It includes all the original accessories below, except the oil can.
