Order of St Stanislaus, Military Division, 2nd Cl neck badge by Dmitry Osipov, C late 1916 - early 1917.

Bronze gilt, enamels (50mm x 50mm, 19 grams). Cyrillic maker marks \"D.O\" (Dmitry Osipov, St. Petersburg) and \"K\" on the reverse lower arm. Layered construction, characteristic of the late issue Osipov pieces. The swords are of standard Osipov manufacture. Beautiful dark red enamel shows the guilloche pattern underneath.

This piece was manufactured after the Tsar\'s edict banning the use of gold for state decorations but before the change in design adopted by the Provisional Government following the February revolution (basically to uncrowned eagles).
