Makers Cyrilic initials in oval for Vasily Agafonov.The tea strainer is free from all scratches and dents, and the gilded interior is free of any real wear. There may have originally been a wire attached to the handle acting as a sort of spring clip with the two prongs fitting inside the teapot spout allowing the strainer to swing as the pot is tilted.
