I am pleased to offer from my private collection this Important Historic 1st Balkan War Officer\'s silver System Glashutte award pocket watch in mint condition c1912.
The watch has a fancy colored enamel dial with gold dots,depicting the portraits of the 4 kings from the Balkan Alliance:
Ferdinand I, King of Bulgaria (26.02.1861 - 09.10.1948)
Petar I Karadjordjevic, King of Serbia (11.07.1844 - 16.08.1921)
Nikola I Petrovic, King of Montenegro (19.10.1840 – 02.03.1921)
George I, King of Greece (12.24.1845 - 03.18.1913)
The First Balkan War lasted from October 1912 to May 1913 and comprised actions of the Balkan League (the kingdoms against the Ottoman Empire. The combined armies of the Balkan states overcame the numerically inferior and strategically disadvantaged Ottoman armies and achieved rapid success.

The watch has been awarded to the Bulgarian Officer Captain Mihail Montchev for bravery and it comes from his family estate.

The watch has a solid silver case with gold filled trim.
