A large and imposing ancient Cypriot Early Bronze Age burnished redware deep bowl with a sturdy handle and spout. Such bowls have become increasingly rare on the market, especially large examples. They have been found in the area of Margi village in central Cyprus and are thought to have been used for making and pouring beer.Date: c. 2100-1950BC, Early Cypriot III Maximum width 32.5cms from spout to handle.
Bowl width 21cms, depth 17cms.
Overall depth 19.5cmsVery good condition for size and age. Unrestored. No damage to handle or spout. 2 chips either side of handle and minor surface abrasions. Some limescale accretions.
