Up for sale is a magnificent 1910-30\'s cast iron (bronze patinated) adjustable book rack/shelf. At either end, this spectacularitem depictsan embossedimage of Minerva, the Roman Goddess of Wisdom.The reverses arestippled andare numbered \"9923.\" This beautifully cast book\"accessory\" was manufactured by the renownedJudd Manufacturing Company (from Connecticut) ... afoundry well recognized for producingcast objects of onlythe highest quality. This wonderfulitem is nicely detailed and isexceptionally clean.The expandable/collapsible telescopic rods dohave some wear and oxidation to their surfaces(please view photos). Fully extended, this book rack willopen to 14-3/4.\" In its completely collapsed state, its approximate width is 8 inches. The actual dimensions of either end are 7-3/8\" (W) x 5-5/8\" (H).
