Incredible Santo Domingo Turquoise heishi bead and spiny oyster inlay shell pendant with Jacla. This necklace is massive... the turquoise \"slabs\" measure approximately 2-1/8\" x 1\" the large inlaid shell measures 3-7/8\" wide by 4\" long and the Jacla hangs 4\" long under the shell! The wearable length is approximately 34\" including the adjustable cord and the pendant, shell + Jacla measures 8\" long! This piece is in need of a small repair where the heishi beads meet the top turquoise slab on one side. It\'s tied off to prevent further bead loss and some of the original beads are included... a few more may be needed to complete the repair. As collectors of this kind of jewelry know, this is stabilized, enhanced turquoise as 85% of turquoise is not of a adequate size or quality to be used in jewelry without enhancements. Displays beautifully but I would recommend restringing the whole thing if you intend to wear it. There\'s a tiny chip on the edge of the shell that you can see in the pictures... it\'s barely noticeable in person. Too large for my jewelry scale, this piece weighs 15.4 oz. on my shipping scale! Stunning piece in wonderful condition!
