Description:
This is a very lovely painting.
This lovely gouache on paper painting was created in 19th century France and used in the development of a woven tapestry.
This painting features tossed stems of flowers in an all over layout.
The colors include tones of brown, green, blue, rose, cream, lavender, pink, salmon, aqua and taupe on a grey colored ground.

The painting measures 15 inches in width by 29 inches in length.
With the paper mount the piece measures 16 1/2 inches wide by 30 1/2 inches long.This painting would be wonderful framed!
Condition:
This is an antique painting
There are cracks and creasing in the paint throughout.
There are ink marks, surface dirt and writing in the lower left area, as well as a grid in the background,
which served as a guide for the weavers to follow.Please see photos for reference.This painting is beautiful in spite of its many flaws and an opportunity to own a piece of French history.All fabrics, wallpapers and paintings are sold \"as is\".Our items are vintage and some are more than 100 years old.
