I am reluctantly selling a recently reunited pair of India General Service medals - the full entitlement - awarded to Captain Oscar Roland Bethune 2-5th Royal Gurkha Rifles, who was killed in action near Damdil in Waziristan in March 1937The group consists of:1. An IGS 1908 Bar North West Frontier 1930-31 to Lt. O.R. Bethune 2-5 GR2. An IGS 1936 bar North West Frontier 1936-37 to Capt. O.R. Bethune 2-5 GRA v. rare British Officer inter-war period North West Frontier casualty! 34 year-old Captain Bethune was badly wounded by a Pathan sniper near Damdil in Waziristan on 29th March 1937 and then shot again and killed while being evacuated by stretcher.
