A monumental Indian silver diety handle & spout tea scenes of Hindu mythology hand carved in exceptionally
high relief.
Raised floral in beaded frame and fern border.
Geruda man-bird finial beautifully detailed,
original fastener below.
Mythical bird spout with grotesque shield.
The arched back full body diety handles typical of
the Indian maker Thayermyo. The identical handles illustrated
Wilkonson, page c1890 Indian hand crafted silver teapot is 10 inches
and entire set is 72 standard ounces.
Signed with the Burmese lion signature,
examples illustrated in Wilkinsons text page 41.
In very fine condition.
Rich silver patina throughout.
Retains original detail.
