Up for offer is a wonderful vintage St. Patrick\'s Day postcard. This card features a colorful lithographic illustration of a lovely Irish lass holding a Flag of Ireland There\'s no question in my mind that the artist was Ellen Clapsaddle, as many of her signed works are very similar to this illustration. When you supersize image 1 you can better see the detail on this card--the colors are still vivid.
Printed in pre-WWI Germany, and published by the International Art Publising Co. (one of Clapsaddle\'s favorite publishers), this beautifully embossed postcard has been postally used, and has a 1910 Flag cancellation across the one-cent stamp on the divided back.

CONDITION: A little soiling with corner blunting. A bit of surface and edge wear. No creases, rips or stains. Vivid colors. Clear image. Very nice condition for this 100 year-old antique.
