A beautiful ItalianOfficers Rapier from 1774.

The handle is composed of awooden grip bound in copper and brass wire binding. The hilt is brass with theremains of its original silver plating or gilding.

The Pommel, knuckle bow,shells and quillons share the same spiral design making the rapier very elegant.

The Blade is a beautifuldouble edge blade of hexagonal section and is very good condition.
