Antique, Art Nouveau J&J Kohn Bentwood and Cane Armchair marked Wsetin Austria, Thonet style, circa 1880

This wonderful Art Nouveau Bentwood and Cane Armchair was made by J.&J. Kohn of Austria. The chair is marked on the underside “J.&J. Kohn Wsetin Austria”. The chair measures approximately 37 inches tall, 24-1/2 inches wide, 24 inches deep, and 20 inches to the top of the seat. The chair could withstand a full restoration and is sturdy but had been upholstered in the past. Remnants of the original cane seat can be seen when the chair is viewed from the bottom. There appear to be a few screws missing and some screws appear to be modern replacements. Given the above mentioned issues this chair is in good antique condition. (See Photos)
