You are looking at a Lovely Half Pint Hand Hammered Pewter Tankard from James Dixon & Sons of Sheffield.

The Tankard is approx 3 3/4\" Tall with a Base of 3 3/8\" and a Top Rim of 2 5/8\" witha Capacity of 1/2 Pint.

It has a Footed Bottom Rim, Sloping Sides and a SturdyHandle andhas been Hammered to Produce a Textured Appearance

The Base is Marked with a Bugle over \"JAMES DIXON & SONS\" in an Arc over \"SHEFFIELD\" and over \"Cornish Pewter W. 1882/1 1/2 Pt MADE IN ENGLAND\".

As you can see This little Tankard has had an exciting life so although fullyusablehas some dents and is a bit out of shape. Please look at the pictures
