RARE BRASS JOHN DUGDILL INDUSTRIAL MACHINE AGE BRITISH ARTICULATING SHOP TABLE LAMP 1930\'s
- DESIGN: An exceedingly rare and highly coveted Industrial Machine Age \"Dugdills\" Shop Task Lamp designed by British designer John Dugdill circa 1930\'s. The 3 lamp arm extensions angle to a wide variety of positions from the weighted mounting base joint via their \"daisy\"sprocket gear handled tightening joints. Manufactured completely of solid heavy duty iron and Brass (sprockets) throughout and extremely well engineered and machined. Manufactures markings are clearly evident on the castings at the mounting base which has been fixed to a solid wood support base. This rare early example is identical to the one noted in the bible of iconic machine age designs \"Industrial Chic\" (see last pic), albeit this one is even nicer!
- CONDITION: This impressive lamp is in excellent original condition with an amazing ideal worn patina finish to the original enamel coatings, completely intact andfully functional. Obvious patina\'d finish wear with no damage or repair issues to the structure. Original \"Maxlume\" dark Green porcelain shade is super clean overall with no dents or dings aside from one bottle top sized porcelain chip that has been retouched. Original UK bayonet style socket has been inspected and is functional and safe, power cord has been replaced with braided cotton wrapped insulated wire and US plug.
- DIMENSIONS: The lamps general dimension in its shown position is 24\" tall with a width of 18\" - each arm is around 10\"/16\" long respectively with the shade being 6\" diameter…the bayonet bulb IS included but no guarantee to its lifespan being used/vintage.
