Description ------- Vintage, circa 1940s-1950s, hand made, historic Native American RING, In a larger sized, ARROW symbol (or rocket ship?), with three inlaid dots, attributed to famous Zuni artist, John Gordon Leak (family: Leekity) in (unmarked, tested) Sterling silver, with Leak\'s signature stone-to-stone, meticulous, mosaic flush inlay, consisting of a black jet background, blue-green turquoise, orange spiney oyster shell, and white mother of pearl.
Leak is a highly sought / collected Zuni artist who worked for CG Wallace and was featured in the CG Wallace collection sale at Sotheby\'s, in 1975. (I will also be listing another inlay ring by Leak contemporary, and another CG Wallace legend, Della Casa Appa, shortly.)Face area of the ring is approximately 1-1/8\" by 7/8. Slightly oversized on a finger (oversized is nice - it will not rotate annoyingly, as some rings do.) I show the ring on both a man and a woman\'s hand -- it\'s the largest John Gordon Leak arrow ring I\'ve found, most are considerably smaller.
I love Leak’s designs for their avant garde graphic quality.
Restoration: This ring just returned from my awesome Scottsdale AZ jeweler, where their master Navajo silversmith meticulously restored a section of the tiny sawtooth and removed a badly done repair to the red dot. The ring is now in beautiful condition, while still preserving the normal patina history. (Will provide the jeweler\'s name to the buyer upon request. I recommend them also, if you need to resize the ring.)SIZE -------

Ring\'s band is1/8\" wide at back,and it is tripled where it meets the face, and very comfortable on the finger.

Marks ------- crude arrow mark on reverse as shown. This may be Leak\'s mark, although he\'s proported never to have signed any pieces, or, more likely it\'s an old pawn mark, or owner\'s mark.Guaranteed old and as described.
