Description: This is an interesting dome shaped item thathas replaced suspension chains and may have been part of a ‘Ner Tamid’. The item is made of brass with inlays ofsilver and copper (Damascene). The bodyhas three upper sections that are inscribed in silver Hebrew characters andbear the names of people. The lower section in Hebrew is roughly translated tomean ‘And God said let there be light’. Cleaning would make the Hebrewcharacters show better, but we will leave it up to the new owner.
