This is an English solid silver cigarette box with a wooden interior.The box is fully hallmarked with London assay mark, Lion Passant for sterling and date letter L for 1946.Both lid and base have hallmarks.The makers mark is rubbed, but looks like the double outline of Goldsmiths & Silversmiths.The box measures 11 cm x 9.5 cm x 5 cm.Overall condition is very good, corners are good, some very minor dings to body, mentioned for accuracy.What is unusual about this box is the crest, it has slight rubbing, but clear enough.There are letters on this crest and thank you to an er who has explained that the letters are in Hebrew.An interesting box.
