This is a signed letter from James Sherman, dated Utica, Sept., 12th, 1902. It is on official letterhead from the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Indian Affairs. It measures about 8\" x 5\". Sherman served as Vice President to William Howard Taft from 1909 until his death in 1912. He also served in the U.S House from 1887-1891 and 1893-1909. This letter, aside from a small missing piece of the upper left corner, and signature are both in excellent condition.
