James Forrestal Typed Letter Signed \"James Forrestal\", one page, 7\" x 9.25\", Washington D.C., August 9, 1946. Written to Mr. Richard Roy Evans, on The Secretary of the Navy official letterhead & includes original envelope. An Amazing TLS with Very Nice Historical Content.
Forrestal was Secretary of Defense under Harry S. Truman. He was also the Secretary of the Navy before this under Truman and FDR. His death by suicide has been a source of conspiracy since it happened, and many believe the Navy might have played some role in covering up a larger plot. The letter is in very fine condition; usual folds are present; Included is the original mailing envelope which is always a great addition to any historical letter that was mailed.
