This porcelain collector's plate features 24K gold gilt trim accenting an engraved silver and gold Chokin Art bird design in the center of the plate.
The back of the plate describes the Art of Chokin as follows: The ancient Art of Chokin has been handed down through generations of artists for more than 700 years. Created by engraving on copper and gilding it with silver and gold, this handcraft was first discovered on the armament of the 12th century Samurai warriors.
The back of the plate also displays a "Made in Japan" sticker and a vintage "PL-09" sticker.
The letters LAL are written in gold lettering in the center rim on the back of the plate, just under a picture of a large older sailboat with masts extended wide.
Measures 6-1/2" in diameter.
Excellent condition - no chips, cracks, or crazing.
