This is a gold acid dye Japanese Samurai Katana.The Tsuba (guard) is made of iron featuring a Phoenix design. Thegold acid dye blade is handmade from1060 high carbon steel. This type of blade has more lateral strength andis easier for Tameshigiri (bamboo/mat cutting) from the weight and thereduced drag. The gold acid dye which makes the entire bladesurface in gold appearance. This gives the blade a unique appearance forthose who prefer an extraordinary look on their sword. The Gold Acid Dyetreatment is a natural color dyeing method. It does not affect theperformance of the sword.

The Kissaki ismedium with a well defined Yokote. The sword is full tang and sharpened.The balance of the blade is perfect and the sword is completely functionaland very sharp. It can be used for drills, practice and test cutting.

The lacquered white saya scabbard is made of hardwood. This sword is anexcellent sword for training (suitable for Tameshigiri) and it isalso a beautiful piece of art work that can used as display at home oroffice.
