A fine example of the Meiji PeriodSatsuma Hand Painted Signed Moriage Vase. This 9 ¾ inchhigh vase is fully decorated with several scenes, showcasing the artist talent. There is moriage beading throughout, mostly covered with gold. There is a smallspot on one of the women’s Kimono’s where the gilding is worn but is barely discernableand blends with the scene. It has a glazed cream interior. Appears to neverhave been used with water. This was made from a solid piece of clay. Only thedecorative ringlets were added. This vase is in excellent aged condition with authenticcrazing/crackling. A fine decorative piece. The photographs show this vase’sexcellent condition.

If anyone knows the maker/artist, we would include this in the listing. We appreciate your help.
