We are quite pleased to offer this museum worthy Japanese sterling and enamel 4 piece tea service.

Signed by the maker.

Stamped pure silver.

Also stamped with turtle in diamond trademark Japanese retailer Sanju Saku (See Silver Magazine 2006).

The only other Meiji silver enamel work offered on , other than ours, is a bowl offered for over $29,000 USD.

The set crafted as sections of bamboo. Banded and accented with delicate applied leaf and twig. And gnarled rough surface as real.

Brilliant enameled Japanese garden scenes.

Silver and cloisonné butterfly hovers atop iris.

Enameled in Ming yellow, violet, coral and lime green and more.

Each iris display distinct from others.

Some of the floral with enamel, others raised silver alone.

Originally made this way.

The iris along gentle stream. The soft wavy lines represent moving water. This characterization of moving stream is specific to Japanese arts.

The coffee pot with bamboo and leaf finial. Retains the original heat stops to handle and interior strainer.

The sugar bowl fashioned as an ancient Japanese water bucket. Rare design.

The set includes the original sterling and enamel tongs, in flower petal form.

Never monogrammed.

Signed by the artist and pure silver and Sanju Saku.

Coffee pot is 7 3/4 inches 17 standard ounces.

Sugar bucket 5 1/2 inches with tongs together 6 1/2 standard ounces.

Cream jug 5 1/2 inches 4 standard ounces.

Excellent condition. Rich, lustreous sterling patina throughout. Stands even on table or display. Cover well fit and coffee pot retains its original interior filter. The brilliant raised floral and butterfly retain their original crisp, vibrant detail. The enamel work retains its rich, vibrant color with minimal loss.
