Japanese antique Netsuke EDO set of 3 by same artist Hand carved exquisite:

This is a group of 3 lovely Japanese antique Netsuke, all by the same maker, most likely from the Edo era since almost all Netsuke are Edo or around 1800-1850ish. These 3 all measure right about 1.5 inches or about 3.75 centimeters tall. All 3 have the same signature on the bottom. The old man with the staff looks considerably less worn and doesn\'t have nearly as much patina or signs of usage, quite possibly because he wasn\'t worn out on the town as much as the other 2, only speculating of course. The gentleman with the gourd may have a repair on the bottom/feet, you can see in the one photo where I show the bottoms and signature that there is an area on both feet where it looks a little lighter and I think I see a shadow of a repair line but not 100 % sure, my eyes aren\'t what they used to be. If it was repaired it was done very well because even staring at it for awhile I\'m still not convinced...Anyway these 3 are charming lovely examples of a bygone era in Japan and will be a fantastic addition to your collection.
