Rare Sheffield SterlingCream Pitcher & Sugar bowl
Both have small dings & scratches from a hard beginning madeduring WW2 1943
Production had to be very light in spite of the War effort in Great Britain..
Hallmarks say : Maker J.D. & Sons ( James Dixon & Sons )
The Sheffield Crown where it was made , the Passant lion indicates Sterling (.925) Silver
The letter A indicates it was made in 1943....
The Pitcher weighs 130 grams , bowl weighs 154 grams =284 grams
Bowl 2 1/4\" tall , Top 3 5/8\" wide , base 2 3/16\" wide
