NOTE: If you’re familiar with my work, you’ve probablynoticed on most of the pieces I make the detail/engraving is black. This isachieved by putting an almost finished piece in a solution that turns the ringentirely black. THEN I sand off the black before final polishing. The sandpaperdoesn’t reach into the recessed detail so it stays black in the engraving/detail.On THIS star I did basically the same processEXCEPT instead of black, I goldplated the ring with 18k gold, THEN, sanded off the gold on the silver\'s surfaceleaving just the recessed areas gold for the most part.
