Jim Kaat enjoyed a fabulous 25 year pro pitching career starting with the old Washington Senators (who became the Minnesota Twins), White Sox and the New York Yankees for whom he became a broadcast announcer for many years. A three time All Star who collected 283 career wins on a lifetime 3.45 ERA, Jim struck out 2461 batters.

After he stopped pitching, Kaat spent another 25 years in the broadcast booth for CBS, NBC, ABC, Fox, ESPN, MLB and especially MSG and the Bombers\' YES network.

His straight forward approachendeared him to numerous fans across the country and annoyed a few owners - guess.
