Typed letter signed “John Kennedy”.1p., 8.0 x 10.5 inch, United States Senate letterhead, 1957 May 24. Signed byJFK in black ballpoint. Letter to Mr. Edw. New in Vineland, New Jersey. In full:“Many thanks for your letter of recent date. I do not know what you mean bysaying that I go along with the ADA in most of their thinking, I wouldappreciate it if you would name the votes in which you disagree with me.Inasmuch as you say you do not see why I am in favor of providing economicassistance to the people of Poland, I am enclosing a statement which I made onthis matter, together with a copy of a letter which I forwarded to SecretaryDulles.” Speech mark “go along” in JFK’s hand.
