This print was published to inaugurate and finance the Mercury 7 Foundation, a non profit national scholarship fun formed by the Mercury astronauts for promising young students in science and technology.

This print has been hand-signed by the Mercury Astronauts. This is a very rare example, as it contains 6 of the 7 astronauts signatures and Betty Grissom on behalf of Gus who died in 1967 in the Apollo 1 fire. The astronauts signed in pencil (no autopen, no fading) largely and clearly next to their respective mission patches. The signatures are gem mint examples and EXTREMELY RARE, especially all in one place. On 12/08/2016, sadly, the most senior, John Glenn, died at the age of 95.
