For Sale:Fabulous, fantastic condition, Art Deco pink three piece float bowl set comprising large bowl, frog, and frosted pink glass fish figurine. It has a central ring slightly raised in the centre of the bowl for the positioning of the frog which in turn has a central raised ring for the position of the fish figure. Produced by Josef Inwald, the simplicity and lack of ornate decoration are the beauty of the item, featuring as it does some deceitfully attractive simple scrolls around the perimeter of the bowl and an elegant scalloped rim. It looks great as a stand alone piece, especially with flowers arranged in it. Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, nibbles or fleabites worthy of mention other than a very small chip to the underside of the frog rim and a couple of miniscule fleabites to the bottom of the fish stopper (see pictures, very hard to spot and not at all visible when on display) and minimal signs of any previous usage to all pieces.This dish measures 11 7/8” (300mm) in diameter and stands 3” (75mm) high whilst the frog measures 5 7/8” (150mm) in diameter. The fish figurine is 7 5/8” (195mm) tall. Has to go, I’ve already got a green example - in the bathroom of all places!!The fragility and slenderness of the bowl are so typical in quality of glass works from Czechoslovakia. A glorious piece and displays extremely well. Ideal for any collection or as a centrepiece for that special occasion.
