This larger, lovelylady in lavender holding a pink rose is very rare and hard to find! She is called \"Holiday in France\"and is from the Josef Originals \"Holiday Girls\" Series made in the1960\'s. Holiday in France is pictured onpage 56 in the blue book, \"Josef Originals, A Second Look\".

Holiday in France iswearing a gorgeous lavender gown with full puffy short sleeves and a matchinglavender bonnet. There is a lot of thefluid movement in this piece that Josef Originals are so famous for. France\'s very full skirt sashays and swirlsaround her and you can see layers of frothy petticoats underneath where theskirt billows up. She is holding anapplied, 3-dimensional pink rose in her right hand. There is a lot of shiny, 24 karat gold gilton this figurine that makes her sparkle and shine! France\'s bonnet has a wide gold ribbon aroundit and shiny gold bow & ties. Therim of her bonnet is also outlined in gold gilt. The rose she is holding in her hand has ashiny gold leaf and her neckline and sleeves are also outlined in shinygold. The front of her dress is adornedwith a cascade of blue flowers with gold centers. They are richly surrounded by fronds ofglittering gold sponging. Holiday inFrance has dark blonde hair peeking out of her bonnet in the front and theback. Her face is expertly hand paintedwith rosy cheeks, beautiful black eyes & eyelashes, delicate eyebrows and acherry red mouth. She is absolutelystunning!

Holiday in France is invery good, vintage condition! She hadsome tiny nicks along the edge of her skirt and one on the back of her bonnetthat I have touched up with matching paint and clear glaze. Also the gold gilt on her bonnet was a littleworn and I have touched it up with gold paint.Besides those two things she is in excellent condition everywhere else. She has the oval, black & silver “JosefOriginals” foil sticker on the side in good condition. \"Josef Originals C\" is clearlyinscribed in the clay on the bottom.Holiday in France is approximately 5 1/2\" tall and 4 1/2\" wideand has a glossy glaze. This is a verybeautiful and rare piece!
