This lovelyJapanese lady holding a parasol is absolutely stunning! She is called \"Holiday in Japan\"and is from the Josef Originals \"Holiday Girls\" Series made in the1960\'s. She is pictured on page 56 inthe blue book, \"Josef Originals, A Second Look\". She is extremely rare and hard to find!

Holiday inJapan is wearing a beautiful pink kimono and carrying a light blueparasol. There is a lot of shiny, 24karat gold on this piece that makes her sparkle and shine! Her kimono is adorned with light blue flowersthat have shiny gold centers. Theflowers are surrounded by fronds of glittering gold sponging. The long, flowing sleeves of her kimono areaccented with shiny gold lines and her sash is strikingly beautiful in stripesof black, gold and white. A wide swathof fabric goes down the back of her kimono in black, gold & whitestripes. Her parasol has shiny goldaround the rim and at the tip. Thegeisha\'s glossy black hair is pulled up into a bun atop her head and adornedwith two pink flowers with shiny gold centers.Her face is expertly hand-painted with rosy cheeks, black eyes &eyelashes, delicate eyebrows and cherry red lips. She is very graceful and lovely.

ThisJapanese lady is in excellent, near MINT, vintage condition! She had one teensie (pin head sized) chip inthe black on the back of her kimono that I have touched up with matching paintand clear glaze and it hardly shows any more.Besides that she is perfect everywhere else. \"Josef Originals C is clearly inscribedin the clay on the bottom of the piece.This beautiful lady is approximately 6\" tall and 3\" wide andhas a glossy glaze. Her colors are richand vibrant and the glaze and gold gilt are bright and shiny. Don\'t miss out on this rare and preciouspiece!
