Offered for sale a large Judaica spice box that was brought in this country from Europe.On the base there are two anchor hallmarks plus another hallmark I cannot decipher.It has not being tested.I think it is made of silver plate.The piece is 8 1/2 inches tall and has a 3 3/4 base diameter. THE WEIGHT IS 258 GRAMS.
The cover has an adorable little man on top,dressed in old fashioned Eastern Europen garb,resemblic a chasidic.The entire piece has heavy attractive swirling repousse work.In between the swirls there is a design depicting a house,a deer and a fox.The box has a scalloped top and bottom.
