Book of Esther illustrated by Zeev Raban. Text in English.The scroll was written in Hebrew and was illustrated by the artist in memory of his mother Rivka Raizel Ravitzky who was murdered in the Warsaw Ghetto by the \'present-day children of Haman\' – as the author writes in the preface to the book.The illustrations were copied and printed in Banbury, England but the English text was printed in Jerusalem at the beginning of [1947] at HaOmen press. Large, rectangular format. 25:31 cm. Impressive, colored illustrations. Each illustrated is pasted to a special page and has protective tissue paper. English text facing each picture. 11 illustrations.Exceptionally rare. Not listed by the Bibliography of the Hebrew Book.
