    Kamil Kubik was an impressionistpainter who was born in Czechoslovakia and studied and worked in Prague,London, Sydney, San Francisco and New York. He is best known for his cityscapes and magnificent florals. He spent most of his time in the New York area,Washington, D.C., and Paris, painting directly from nature. Kubik was theofficial artist for several US golf and tennis open tournaments. His workappeared on the covers of M.D. Magazine, Reader\'s Digest, and Worth AvenueMagazine. He did a book, \"City Scapes\", for the Grumbacher Company.He did the official White House Christmas card in 1991 and 1992. He had alsobeen honored both by the National Ethnic Coalition of Organizations with theirrenowned \"Ellis Island Medal of Honor\".
