Membership was originally limited to male students who took courses in the Department of Education including graduate students and faculty.
This pin is from Ohio State University, where the chapter was formed from two fraternities. Beta Epsilon voted to join Sigma Delta Sigma at the University of Illinois to form a two-chapter national fraternity. The group remained the Beta chapter of Sigma Delta Sigma before becoming the Alpha Eta chapter of Kappa Phi Kappa on April 14, 1928.
