A very old North Indian(Kashmir) hand scribed and illuminated Koran.9.25 inches x 6.5 inches. Circa 1800.

Illuminated in gold leaf in opening pages and in some details throughout the manuscript..

The scribe\'s name is Hafiz Barkhordar and is written on the last page.

The writing inside cover page gives the name of the owner who bought it in year 1222 Hejri (1807 A.D.) in city of Kandhar. I would assume that the Koran was scribed before that date or the latest date would be 1222 Hejri (1807 A.D.) Please see the two new added photographs.
